Shall I tell you a tale of how this all started? It was back in my humanities class in college when we were reading one of the humanities books.<\/p>\n

I remember the class. I remember the teacher. i remember the line written by Machiavelli. I remember how it inspired me to learn all I could about this virago<\/em> (Latin for manlike) of a woman that history had maligned and almost forgotten. And so began my search for the story of this woman, who in turn, gave birth to my coming-of-age historical novel.<\/p>\n

The Earth was small, light blue, and so touchingly alone, our home that must be defended like a holy relic. The Earth was absolutely round. I believe I never knew what the word round meant until I saw Earth from space.<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n\r\n\r\n
