After years spent holding everything together, Lucinda Blake arrives at a secluded Italian villa hoping only for rest—a week of sun, solitude, and sleep. But Villa Fiorita is no ordinary guesthouse. It has a way of noticing its visitors, of offering them exactly what they didn’t know they needed.

Assigned to Room Seven, a space she hadn’t booked but somehow feels chosen for, Lucinda begins to sense a quiet pattern in the air—the scent of orange blossom, a caretaker who seems to understand too much, and a mysterious journal that appears on her nightstand, mirroring thoughts she hasn’t yet written.
